These Boots Are Made For Walking (and looking cool)

I’ve been in need of a pair new practical boots for walking, they needed to be comfortable, waterproof and breathable. After lots of searching I came across the Sierra Duck Waterproof Boot from Hi-Tec. Although I’ve never owned a pair of Hi-Tec shoes before, I decided to try them as I had heard good things, they hit all the marks and looked perfect.

Soon after ordering, the postman brought me my new footwear. Upon opening the box I was greeted by a very hansom pair of boots. The thing I love about these boots are that they combine all the essential elements of a practical boot with a very fashionable and stylish exterior. There are loads of good quality walking boots out there, but ones that actually look cool and not big or clunky are few and far between.

Grip is a huge requirement in a walking boot, you don’t want to be slipping and sliding all over the place. The soles on these bad boys delivers bucket loads of grip. Rubber continues up from the sole to the outsole ensuring epic waterproof-ness; making the boots brilliant for walking in the rain or through wet grass.

The upper is made from a premium brown leather and ensures that you will be dry and comfortable all day long. A Ghilly and D-ring lacing structure makes your laces tight and secure. Coolness is almost as important as dryness, comfort and breathability. The upper of this boot is what brings the awesomeness, it looks like a cross between a hiking boot, an ugg and a high top skate shoe.

As I’ve just alluded to the boot does have a certain ‘uggish’ quality and I’m saying this as a big complement. Inside the boot is a fur lining (don’t worry lambs it’s synthetic) that wicks moisture; keeping your tootsies warm and dry. An Ortholite sockliner brings epic cushioning and anti-odour properties, keeping your feet comfy and the boots fresh.

I took these booties for a little walk around the gorgeous Cornish coast and they held up brilliantly, walking through wet, dew covered grass, over rough ground and slippery mud. They performed perfectly, standing up to everything mother nature had to throw at them. At the end of my walk my feet were still dry and not in the slightest bit sore.

They look great boots. I love walking and I have had Hi Tec before. they are not the most expensive but deliver on comfort. Also, even the most expensive boots can be very slippy over wet rocks. Thanks for the recommendation and I shall certainly consider these.
