My blog, this blog, the one you’re reading right now: Wild Tide – has been shortlisted for the GO Outdoors Independent Blog Awards 2015!

Every year Go Outdoors celebrates the best of the best in the outdoor world as well as the big movers and shakers of the previous twelve months. One of the categories is the Independent Outdoor Blog Award, this is what I’ve been nominated for and it’s a great honour. The winner is voted for by the public (that’s you) and will be announced in December. I can’t wait!

The voting is limited to one vote per person and I’ll beg all of you lovely, beautiful, intelligent, internet folk to give me a vote. More than that, ask your friends, family, work colleagues and pets to vote too!

I’m chuffed to just have been nominated and I feel really proud that a blog that features only my own writing, photographs and videos has been recognised and is obviously read and enjoyed. Wild Tide is a website, run by someone who has a full time job and would much rather be outdoors, living life, than stuck inside on the internet.

In a time where so many bloggers post more of other peoples content than their own and are doing things like buying followers on twitter, it’s awesome that a home made, anecdotal, genuine blog with a bit of old fashioned integrity has been shortlisted.
