When we were camping up in the Peak District recently, we went on many walks; one of the most memorable was definitely the Monsal Trail… So what is it? The Monsal Trail follows part of the route of the former Manchester, Buxton, Matlock and Midlands Junction Railway, which was built by the Midland Railway in 1863.
