I’m lucky enough to love my job but I love my free time and the weekends even more! We really try and make the most of our weekends. I think you’ve got to really jam them full of fun and make sure you’ve made loads of new memories. Here are a few of the awesome things we’ve been getting up to recently…   Hangloose Adventure I’m a bit of a thrill seeker, and am always up for trying out…

During the Easter holidays, my girlfriend and I decided to take a trip up to Snowdonia in the North of Wales. Since getting into climbing we had seen countless photographs, articles in magazines and posters around the climbing centre which had inspired us. I had seen photographs and read up about the area, so was dying to go to this beautiful location. After some researching in books and the internet, I found this awesome looking hostel called Plas Curig,…

Last Monday the weather was absolutely glorious – it made a change from the horrid weather we have had recently. So my girlfriend and I took advantage and decided to go for a cycle. One of my favourite routes to go on is the Mineral Tramway. This route starts at Portreath and goes all the way to the picturesque harbour village of Devoran. Basically all the way from one coast to the other.   We packed our picnic and…

Rock climbing has always appealed to me. I remember watching Cliff Hanger as a teenager just thinking how cool it was and how exciting- a really daring sport. Last year, I realised there was a climbing club not too far away, Granite Planet. Although they run weekly sessions indoors, the club regularly take trips outside to popular rock climbing routes all over Cornwall and beyond. So my girlfriend and I decided to join up. Everyone was so nice and…

I’ve been in the market for a new waterproof jacket for a while now. It’s a really big decision, and I’ve done a lot of research and thinking about which one to get. I was after something that was super waterproof and breathable but also looked great, was thin, lightweight and would hold up against extreme elements. Not all of these qualities are easy to find in one jacket. After much searching, I managed to find a jacket that…

During the summer, we spent numerous occasions on Chapel Porth Beach, west of St Agnes. I love this beach because of its clear waters and dramatic landscape. Due to it being so close to my new home, my girlfriend and I have got into the habit of getting up early to go and have a fry up on this gorgeous beach. It’s always so tranquil at that time of day, and it’s great to watch the early morning surfers…

I’ve been loving my summer holiday, It’s been important to me to make sure I’m doing something fun or productive (normally DIY) everyday and because of this, I haven’t had one boring or lazy day. We’ve had some really memorable days including trips to Devon, watching the red arrows from the water and lots and lots of trips to the beach. One of the best days of the summer and probably the entire year had to be last week.…

Last week we went for a little paddle around St Michael’s Mount. I’ve not kayaked around it before but was inspired by a friend telling me about his experience kayaking around the mount. So late last Thursday, we drove down to Penzance in the van with a couple Fatyak Kaafus on board to check the mount out for ourselves. We parked up at The Godolphin Arms in Marazion as their carpark was open late, was only £2 and was…

The Flymount is the latest addition to my growing collection of GoPro mounting solutions. This is the best mount I’ve seen for attaching your GoPro (or other action camera) to cylindrical objects (that’s the posh word for tubes!). This weekend I decided to put my new Flymount through its paces with my friend and his Yamaha Grizzly Quad Bike. Originally designed almost 10 years ago for use as a mast or boom mount for windsurfers, the Flymount has evolved…
