Technical hiking and walking boots are great, they are superb out on the trails and in the mountains. On more casual terrain or in the town however, they do look a bit un-cool. Last weekend, our friends were camping in Sennen and invited us to join them. Although the weather wasn’t in our favour, Mike and I decided to brave the elements and head down to Trevedra Farm Campsite. The location is fantastic; Sennen Cove is very close by and it is a short drive to Lands End. I’d definitely recommend asking to pitch in the bottom field as it is closest to the coastline and has the best views. …

I love a good campsite. I like the small ones with only a few basic pitches as well as the large ones with flash facilities and swanky showers. Sometimes though, a proper campsite isn’t quite up to the ‘back to nature’ feeling you might be hankering for. You don’t want running water, toilets or showers. You want to be traversing the landscape, cohabiting and existing with the natural land. This is where Wild Camping comes into it’s own.…
