\nI bumped into fellow blogger Scarlett Ruocco on Twitter and I am sure glad I did.<\/p>\n

Scarlett is a London based graphic designer and illustrator, who when she isn’t flicking through Vogue magazine (whilst sipping on a fine coffee), creates beautiful artwork influenced by a mixture of picture book illustration and artists such as James Jean. <\/p>\n

These images are based upon Cornwall and it’s enigmatic coast and have been created especially for Wild Tide by Scarlett, who has ties with Cornwall as she used to holiday in the beautiful county. Her art is created using an assortment of different techniques: ink, collage, acrylic paint, biro and felt tip, are just some of the layers used in her images down below.<\/p>\n

I love her use of black and white illustration, with the addition of bold, vibrant colour, to really bring a forceful, dynamic sense of depth to the pieces, I also really like how she has incorporated Wild Tide into some of the work through collage. I can’t wait to see even more from Scarlett, whom is brimming with creative thoughts and is just in need of the time to put her fantastic ideas onto paper. <\/p>\n
