As you can see its a very slick looking axe, that is as sharp as a razor. I’ve used it for lots of different tasks from bushcraft to chopping kindling and it’s worked a treat at them all. The blade is made of stainless steel and is doesn’t blunt easily (even if it does become blunt, a sharpener is also included). Ergonomically designed the handle is comfortable for sustained chopping and use, it’s also covered with a knuckle guard which will stop you from getting any nasty knocks when slicing and dicing.

That super sharp blade has got to be kept safe when not in use and the axe does this brilliantly with a reinforced and very tough nylon sheath. Long enough to be useful but still small enough to be portable and handy; the axe measures in at 13 1/2″ in total length.

Contained within the pockets on this health and safety friendly sheath are a plethora of useful survival tools and gizmos. To be honest I’m not really ever likely to be in a deadly survival situation in Cornwall but they are pretty cool and you never know what you might need!

This survival axe has all the following included with it:

Bronzemoon outdoors is a website that is becoming vastly terrible for my bank balance, I’ve recently had another impulse-buy in the shape of the Bushmaster Survival Axe. I’ve always been a big fan of bushcraft and survival specialists like Ray Mears and Bear Grylls; this axe definitely looks like something they would use. Unfortunately / fortunately I don’t travel around barren landscapes like they do, but I do enjoy a bit of wild camping and alike.
