BAD VAN

Grrrr not a great day so far.   Horrible rainy day and my Van failed it’s MOT. Without personifying too much, in this photo I took this morning, the van and my cat look like they know what’s going to happen…

The Temperance Movement – Midnight Black

I’ve been listening to Planet Rock recently while doing some building and Man Cave work. They’ve introduced me to a few new bands and The Temperance Movement are one of them. They are an awesome British Blues Rock band and this is the first single of their upcoming debut album:

Volcom – Target Parka Olive Jacket

Winter is coming! About this time last year I was starting to think about coats, you see I’m normally one of those people that spends all winter thinking I need to get some gloves but doesn’t get round to buying them till April when its finally warming up. Or all summer after some shorts and buys them late September. So last year I thought i’d try and do it differently and buy some apparel at the start of the season.…

Pearl Jam – Mind Your Manners

Here is some tasty rock nosh for your ears! Mind Your Manners is the lead single off Pearl Jams latest and 10th Studio album Lightning Bolt and is an ultimate smasher. The song has some really hard edged guitar work but the drumming is my favourite part by far.

Grand Theft Auto 5

A long long time ago, I once had an xbox, but one day it died and I never got around to replacing it. Now on this rainy Cornish day after several years i’m starting to miss it. My longing for a console to while away a rainy Sunday on isn’t helped by the forthcoming release of GTAV (Grand Theft Auto 5). This trailer type video makes it look like an extremely good way to while away a rainy day.

VW Transporter T4 – Front End Changes

The Man Cave has been very busy over the last year with modifying my VW T4. One of the easiest and most noticeable changes has been the work i’ve done to the front end. I thought that with the help of some photos i’d take you through what i’ve done. This is how the van started off. Exactly the same as when it left the factory ten years ago. The first thing I did was get rid of the orange…

Killer Whales in Captivity

When I was a kid I saw a Sea World style Killer Whale show in a aquapark in the South of France. Now i’ve always loved animals and therefore zoos and aquariums. I went and thoroughly enjoyed the day, I was staggered by their size, beauty and presence. A guilty feeling was there over these huge majestic creatures being kept in small enclosures for the entertainment of humans, but truthfully all the positive emotions of actually having the opportunity to…

Six Jokes Sunday

I never wanted to believe that my Dad was stealing from his job as a road worker. But when I got home, all the signs were there. Why couldn’t Dracula’s wife get to sleep? Because of his coffin. Conjunctivitis.com – that’s a site for sore eyes So this lorry full of tortoises collided with a van full of terrapins. It was a turtle disaster. What time does Sean Connery arrive at Wimbledon? Tennish. I phoned the local gym and I…

Handlining From A Kayak

Handlining is a very old and simple method of fishing. It is also one of my favourite ways to fish, read on to see why. Handlining is uber simple. Basically you have a thick fishing line, something around 50lb or above, something to wrap it around (instead of a reel), some terminal tackle like feathers or baited hooks on the end and finally a weight. What I love about it so much is how natural and close to the…
