Ale Review – Penryn Pale Ale from The Rebel Brewing Co

Down at 5 Degrees West in Falmouth, they have an ever changing and fine selection of Ales and Ciders. It’s one of my favourite places to try new drinks, recently I had the pleasure of trying another fine Cornish ale there. Penryn Pale Ale is named after the Cornish town and the home of the Rebel Brewery company. Its a beautiful bronze ale and their take on the classic Indian Pale Ale. It has a hoppy, fruity smell and…

Tinting the lights on my VW T4

Tinting your headlights does decrease the performance slightly, but I don’t do too much night driving so decided it was a worthy sacrifice as I really like the way they look. 1. First off pop the bonnet to access the light 2. Get some glass or window cleaner and scrub those bad boys till they are nice and spotless. 3. Remove the indicator. Falmouth’s End of Summer Fireworks

I’ve just returned home from Falmouth’s End of Summer Firework display down at Swanpool beach. The fireworks were launched from a barge out in the bay, which added the added dimension of beautiful reflections. A massive crowd packed the beach to watch the epic firework display. Clock Photography!

What do you notice about these many clock faces?   I was watching a Dave Gorman program last night (which was very good) and in said program he explained how most clocks are photographed in the 10:08 positions as it makes them look happiest. Apparently 10:10 is too symmetrical! Anywho an interesting bit of trivia.

The Temperance Movement – Midnight Black

I’ve been listening to Planet Rock recently while doing some building and Man Cave work. They’ve introduced me to a few new bands and The Temperance Movement are one of them. They are an awesome British Blues Rock band and this is the first single of their upcoming debut album:
