The Gannet

I love Gannets. One of the biggest pleasure I have living in Cornwall is regularly seeing them flying and diving. Many a dawn kayak trip has been brightened by the firework show which is the gannet diving. They have such a distinctive look with their yellow and blue heads and black wing tips.

Belt Buckles

&nbsp One way to easily take a good pair of jeans from good to great is with an awesome belt buckle. Men can’t “accessories” as much as girls can (without looking like you are some Russel Brand character, who is trying too hard) but one way you can is with the cool buckle. I really like retro, american cowboy looking ones more than the geek chic superman, batman types. But everyone is different. Have a look through this small selection…

Swatch – Lightning Flash

A couple years ago I bought this watch. It does look a little like something that a child or a power ranger would wear, but I love it. Like most Swatch watches it was made in a limited number and is now quite rare.

Three on Thursday – The Joy Formidable

Three on Thursday has been a bit of a sausage fest so far, so I thought i’d try and get some girl power going. Don’t worry not the Spice Girls, just some quality Welsh alt rock from The Joy Formidable. I love their vigor and big, but intimate sound. Great to listen to while doing anything fun and exciting.   The Joy Formidable – Cradle   The Joy Formidable – This Ladder Is Ours   The Joy Formidable – Whirring

Game of Thrones and why you NEED to watch it.

There aren’t many television programs that I’m a die hard fan of… but Game of Thrones is one of them. I had heard a few people tell me how good it was but I hadn’t taken much notice. Then one rainy day I didn’t have much to do and decided to check it out. The opening scenes get you hooked massively and from then on, its a rollercoaster ride of viewing excitement. The characters are brilliant, some of the…

My all time favourite print

This is my favourite print ever, I have a large copy of it proudly on display in my Man Cave. I love the power of the waves and the overall composition. (top trivia – it also inspired the Quicksilver logo) Edit: Totally forgot to say what it was (doh) anywho it is – The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai
