This week Three on Thursday features a band that I’ve briefly written about once before… it’s only Pearl Jam! If you’ve been in a cave for the last twenty odd years and didn’t know, Pearl Jam are an amazing rock band who in the year 1990 formed in America, to be more precise in the state of Washington and to be even more accurate in the coastal city of Seattle. Since then they’ve released ten awesome albums. The ones I’d check out if you’re new to Pearl Jam would be their first album, Ten and their Ninth and possibly my favourite at the moment, Backspacer. Good film and based on an equally good book of the same name by John Krakauer – which in turn is based on a true story that’s both attention-grabbing and tragic.
