Weird Fish Winter Accessories Beanie, Scarf and Gloves Review

The nights have drawn in, it’s rainy and cold outside and you’ve turned the heating on inside – winter is officially here. What better time than the start of the cold season to invest in some new winter accessories. Weird Fish – makers of comfortable, casual clothing for men and women have recently brought out a new range of winter warmers for men and women some of which we will be reviewing in this piece.

Weird Fish Witsel Nepp Cable Beanie Cement

The Witsel Nepp Cable Beanie Cement by Weird Fish is an excellent hat for a cold day’s walk on the beach. The beanie is available in five colours including cement (like mine), navy, deep sea blue, dark rust and aubergine. Being made from a non-itchy acrylic yarn and with a band of fleece on the rim, the hat is incredibly cosy to wear.

With a chunky rib running down the beanie, it has a classic home-spun look which is very timeless. I think that it’s easy to pair this hat with most outfits especially if you choose a colour like mine in cement.

My favourite thing about the Witsel Beanie is the flecked nepp effect in the yarn. This distinctive flecking effect really gives the beanie a stand out look and makes it even better looking. On the turn back band there is a leather badge with the Weird Fish logo embossed on it. If you’re after a new winter hat or thinking about Christmas stocking fillers – you can’t go far wrong with this beanie!

Weird Fish Katy Brushed Scarf Mango

With the cold weather here you’re going to need a thick, cosy warm scarf to help get you through the harsh winter. The Weird Fish Katy Brushed Scarf Mango is perfect for just this.

The feel of this scarf is incredible as it has a brushed finish which is super soft against your skin as well as being great at trapping the warmth and keeping you warm. There is some subtle branding in the form of an embossed leather Weird Fish logo on one end of the scarf.

As the scarf is super long, chunky and very wide it’s brilliant at wrapping around yourself to keep you really warm. It also makes the piece a standout garment which will be attracting compliments.

The Katy Brushed Scarf is available in three colours including Purple Potion, Dewberry and Mango (the one in these photographs). I personally think that mango is the most eye catching and the bright colours are exactly what you need during the dull winter months. However, the purple and brown shades are great for a more neutral or natural autumnal look.

Weird Fish Jenny Striped Glove Dark Navy

With such a toasty warm neck, you really need to keep your mitts nice and snug too and that’s where the Weird Fish Jenny Striped Gloves come in. These are available in a dark navy colour (pictured) and a pinky purple colour which they call Malaga.

These chunky knit gloves go brilliantly with the equally cosy Katy Brushed Scarf. They would look equally great with a knitted beanie or a bobble hat.

Due to the cosy thickness of the yarn and knit, these gloves are really warm and will keep your hands toasty on any chilly walk by the sea. The three contrasting colours on the glove give them a stand out design which is unique without being too “out there”.

They are machine washable too which is great if you’re the sort of person who is going to be properly adventuring in them. If you’re after some well made, high quality and stylish winter accessories this cold season then you should 100% check out what Weird Fish have to offer. All of their gloves, scarves and hats are well priced too!
