We are now in October, the month of Halloween. So being a horror fan, I thought I’d write a series of posts about my favourite horror films of each decade. I thought I’d start chronologically with the earliest post – the 70’s. Here we go… Halloween Directed by John Carter who also wrote the memorable theme, Halloween is one of the films that started off the slasher genre and introduced the now infamous character Michael Myers (no not the…

Here they are, the next 10 ways to enjoy the little things in life. Enjoy:   11. Popping bubble wrap – This must be a prehistoric instinct, every person, in every country loves this. 12. Swinging – No! Not the dodgy type, just plain old simple swinging on a swing. Fantastic. 13. Tea – Which ever type is your preference, plain old builders, fancy types, weak tea like my gran likes.   This weeks Three on Thursday is the fantastic although fairly unknown Darwin Deez. They’re an indie band from New York. I love their uplifting, creative sound and the singer Darwin’s quirky look. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them live, which is a splendid experience, they pause and do cool little dances in between songs and are just generally, totally rad. (They also make awesome music videos) All of these songs are off their self titled first album: Darwin…

What’s cooler than a guy skating around the city at night to the Deftones? I really don’t think there is a video on youtube at the moment that is as awesome. It’s directed by filmmaker Brett Novak and stars the skater Jason Park. Romantic Dreams is off Deftones’ album Koi No Yokan. Enjoy.

What’s that graphic novels are for geeks? Well maybe some, but not all! Anyway aren’t geeks suppose to be cool now anyway? I love graphic novels, the best ones are sublime, page after page of beautiful art and story telling. If you haven’t ever read one, then you seriously need to pick one out of this list and have a look. Yeah sure there are some nerdish graphic novels out there but none of the books on this list…

I don’t know what makes this video so cool. Is it the great filming and edit? The awesome music? Or is it just the fact that it’s an amazing HUMAN SLINGSHOT! Who knows?

Falmouth has a fine selection of places to eat. This weekend my girlfriend and I went to Fuel to have lunch and check it out.   They had a very good menu with a nice selection of slightly posher than pub food. Prices ranged from about £7.50 for a classic burger with chips to £14 for 1/2 a piri piri chicken. My girlfriend chose a cheese burger which was served on a Baker Tom bun and was “the best…
