Probably the best band to come out of Portland, Oregon, The Decemberists are an indie folk rock band that are truly superb. One of the many things I like about them is how their songs often feature local folklore and history; this feels very Cornish – and I love it.
Their songs feel so natural and rustic; which makes them a regular feature on my fishing playlists. Driving home with a fishy ready for the plate, whilst humming along to The Decemberists is what life is all about.
