Summer is officially over and it is now time to get your winter wardrobe ready for the drop in temperature. I always think it is important to have some stylish, statement pieces to enhance your look during the autumn and winter seasons, so I was very pleased to have found such a great ladies jumper by Fjallraven called the Övik Scandinavian Sweater.
Mike and I absolutely love this outdoor brand; not only do they create awesome clothing, but they also make great packs. What makes Fjallraven an industry leader is that they always use hard-wearing materials and design really practical, good looking gear. Check out Mike’s Split Pack review here and my review of the ReKanken here.
Anyway, back to the sweater. Fjallraven Ladies Övik Scandinavian Sweater really is luxury, style and warmth in one. It is made from 80% wool, which makes this jumper extremely comfy and cozy to wear and keeps me warm when walking on cold, autumnal evenings. Because of the relaxed fit, the jumper has such a casual, yet stylish appearance, and is really eye catching.
The lambswool has a key technical aspect, whereby it wicks moisture from the body and keeps you warm, even when damp- the natural material really has great insulating properties. Lambswool is the highest quality of sheeps wool that you can get. It is also hypo-allergenic and is really soft (and not at all itchy), smooth and elastic, which you can really feel in this sweater. This material is very sustainable too, making it a really natural choice, plus being made from wool, makes this jumper pretty resistant to wear and tear.
My favourite part of the jumper has to be the Jacquard-knitted Nordic pattern across the chest and back. It gives it an autumnal feel, but it wouldn’t be out of place around Christmas time either. Although Fjallraven also do the jumper in both grey and alpine purple, I chose the dark garnet colour as it looks vibrant, especially against the grey shoulder area, plus the pattern really stands out.
On the lower section of the jumper, the structured-knit really contrasts the rest of the style, making the pattern stand out more. I particularly like the ribbed cuffs and hem as well as the double-knitted round neckline, which sits brilliantly.
Overall, this is a must-have for your wardrobe. It may be a tad pricey, but this isn’t some low quality, disposable item of clothing, this is slow fashion of the highest quality which, if looked after properly, will last you donkey’s years. The beautiful pattern and knitted design give you that perfect winter look. It keeps you warm, plus adds that bit of luxury to your style- what more could you want?
What size? Does it fit on the smaller side?

I think the fit is about standard! They’re not a slim fitting jumper but I like that.
Can you please tell me what size is on photos? I’m size S but I just don’t want tight fit
