Christmas Gift Guide For Travellers and Travel Lovers

Christmas Gift Guide For Travel Lovers

Welcome to another Christmas gift guide, this one is for your friend, family or loved one, who is crazy about travelling. All of the products in this guide are also at wallet-friendly prices and wont break the bank. This guide features a few of my favourite travel items that I’ve used this year and can thoroughly recommend.

Lifeventure Ultralight Dry Bag Set – 5, 10, 25L

Lifeventure Waterproof bags

These Ultralight Roll Top Bags from Lifeventure are awesome waterproof bags to take on loads of different adventures. I used them during our European trip this summer. I always kept one handy in my Riut Crush day pack as even though it is showerproof, when it comes to tech and travel documents I wouldn’t want to take any chances. They’re excellent to do this as they are made from a very strong, waterproof and importantly light weight material.

These waterproof bags are so useful and saved our bacon on more than one occasion. For example, we had started rowing a boat across a lake in the Slovakian High Tatras when all of a sudden the skies opened and a total storm opened up around us. Within a couple minutes, we were drenched from top to bottom. Luckily, however, all of our valuables were okay as we had them safely stuffed inside a Ultralight Roll Top waterproof bag. As this selection of waterproof bags contains 5, 10 and 25 litre sizes you should have one to suit almost every occasion.

Lifeventure OS Map Print Giant Travel Towel

I’ve managed to acquire a little collection of travel towels over the years but the Ben Nevis OS Map Print Giant Travel Towel is by far and away my favourite. Almost every other travel towel I have seen is boring and plain in colour. This range by Lifeventure all feature real OS maps of famous mountains such as Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

Along with the really great design, the travel towel is very soft and lightweight. It even absorbs 9 times its own weight in water and dries 8 times faster than a regular towel. It’s a really large size, measuring in at 150 x 90cm being so big you’d expect it to weigh a lot but it only weighs 280g.

Lifeventure Ellipse Travel Mug

There is no way, no matter where I am in the world that I could be happy without a hot drink. The Lifeventure Ellipse Travel Mug is an excellent gift for any travel lover. It is really a great stocking filler gift as it’s inexpensive and bound to be well received by just about anyone.

Lifeventure Cup

It is excellent for people commuting to work as it fits most car drink’s holders as well as campers as it will keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold! I used it while we were recently glamping in a Hampshire Shepherd’s Hut and on cold October mornings it did a fantastic job of keeping my morning brew lovely and hot.

Lifeventure Flight Bottle Set and Wash Bag

This Flight Bottle Set and Wash Bag by Lifeventure is a classic travel accessory. It has two main benefits, the first being that it will get you through most of those airline security guidelines about having a transparent wash kit with your just small amounts of liquids inside (do check with your individual airline first though as they do vary). The washbag also keeps all your lotions and potions together which makes packing and locating everything a breeze.

Lifeventure Cosmetic Case

The second main benefit and the reason why I used them all summer over Europe was that you can decant larger bottles of cosmetics etc into them. Why on Earth would you want to do this? The simple answer is – weight! I knew that when travelling all over Europe for the summer, including the entire month of August, I was bound to get some sunburn at some point.

However, when backpacking and carrying all my belongs all over the place (including hiking through the Slovakian High Tatras) you want the lightest pack possible. So in order to save precious grams, I just took a small amount of sun-cream and a small amount of after-sun decanted into these travel bottles. You can also do the same with shower gel, shampoo and anything else you desire. I found the tube with the spray nozzle especially awesome for sun-cream. Down below you can see the Lifeventure set in the bathroom of our apartment in Dubrovnik.

Lifeventure RFiD Mini Travel Wallet

I’ve saved my favourite travel gift for the very end of this guide… The Lifeventure RFiD Mini Travel Wallet is an awesome accessory for anyone who travels, whether it’s at home or abroad. It is the perfect size, being large enough to hold your passport but still able to fit into the vast majority of trouser and coat pockets. Despite its petite size, it is crammed with clever and useful features. Firstly, it has a water-resistant zip closure; this is very important as when you’re away it will be keeping all of precious monies, cards and documents safe!

It is jam-packed with pockets and smart places to store all of your cards, cash and tickets. It features 7 card pockets, a place for your smartphone, a place for your boarding pass, 3 slip pockets for anything else as well as a zip pocket for money etc. It even has a place to stash a small pen or pencil which can be very useful in a pinch.

Another major selling point is that it shields your E-passport and contactless bank cards from radio frequency identification (RFiD) readers. This is awesome as crimes involving stealing information from these sources are greatly rising and it’s fantastic to be protected from identity theft as something like that could really ruin your travels. To have a look inside the Mini Travel Wallet, watch the video below and you can see just how many places there are to stash all of your travel goodies.
